I'm a Solo Founder Running 3 Companies Across 2 Countries.

The bottleneck was never the code. I had to learn this more than once.

Running three companies across two countries means two sets of tax systems, two legal frameworks, consumer markets with completely different expectations, and one person who is the founder, the developer, the compliance officer, the content person, and the person who has to remember to eat.

Korea is not America. Korean consumers expect free. The freemium model isn't a growth hack here — it's the entry assumption. You can have built something genuinely valuable and be charging what Americans consider reasonable and Koreans will just... not.

The real lesson: technical founders risk confusing building with progress. AI made this worse. Now I can build sophisticated things I'm not shipping at four times the speed. The avoidance is more efficient. The pipeline doesn't ship the product for you.

The mentor said: brand over novelty is the game. They were right. I kept building anyway.
